Rainwater harvesting – which tank? Rainwater is stored in extremely durable tanks made of high-density polyethylene. The most popular tank capacities are 2000 and 3000 litres.

With a pump and booster set installed, the collected water can be used for any domestic purpose at the same pressure as mains water. It is without doubt the most convenient and virtually maintenance-free way of putting rainwater to use in the home.

Rainwater is piped to a tank buried in the ground. Gutter guards catch most of the debris, such as leaves, cones and similar. Surplus water is discharged through a trap into a clean-water outlet, which may be a storm sewer, the ground, a soakaway well, a ditch and so on. Using a submersible pump with a float switch, the stored water can be used for any domestic purpose.

Our storage tanks are rotationally moulded – with no seams or welds, they are true monoliths. They are also absolutely reliable and manufactured in full compliance with the DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management system. As technically mature, proven products, these tanks are above all environmentally friendly and offer a high level of operational safety.
Absolute water-tightness is guaranteed by the monolithic tank construction, the acid resistance of polyethylene and the mechanical resistance to root ingress of any kind
the ribbed construction provides stability and safe installation below ground level; manhole risers allow the tank to be installed at various depths; the tanks are designed for storing wastewater, water and other liquid chemical substances
The tank also comes with sealed inlets for 110 or 160 mm pipes, an overflow for surplus water and a polyethylene cover
