The BDH hybrid treatment plant is a wastewater treatment plant designed for domestic wastewater and for any ground and water conditions. Bio DUO-Hybryda is a mechanical-biological hybrid treatment plant that works on the principle of low-load activated sludge and a self-cleaning fluidised biological bed. It is a highly effective, durable and inexpensive solution for places with no access to a collective sewer system.The Bio DUO-Hybryda domestic plant uses two independent biological zones. In each of them, low-load activated sludge is supported by a submerged fluidised biological bed built of specially designed PE elements.Thanks to the double hybrid technology – low-load activated sludge plus a self-cleaning fluidised biological bed in two mutually independent bioreactors – the Bio DUO-Hybryda plant achieves a very high level of pollutant reduction.The hybrid treatment plant – the best solution on the market.A domestic treatment plant with a hybrid system is currently regarded as one of the most effective wastewater treatment technologies, and at the same time one of the least sensitive to unfavourable operating conditions. Such systems are far more resistant to hydraulic overloads and to variable inflow volumes, and they can take a higher pollutant load than a classic system (with activated sludge) because a larger amount of biomass can be accumulated in two forms. Hybrid plants also cope with temporary power cuts, overloads, temperature swings and a short-term lack of inflow.
